If we compare the answers to the question of to whom we have confidence with the names of those who have caused us sympathy, you will find that they do not match. Sympathy for our fellow citizens have for the slightly larger number of politicians, some of whom are still the same Putin, Yavlinsky, Yuri Luzhkov and Primakov Zyuganov, but only the number of sympathizers – trust the numbers below. But among the “cute” can be found Boris Yeltsin and Mikhail Gorbachev, I. Khakamada with V. Anpilov, A. Karelin with two Ryzhkov, Sergei Kiriyenko, I. Ivanov, A. Mitrofanov, E. Kiseleva, and even Gusinsky. This list is not only richer in the number of names. But the variety of political roles of politicians is emotionally appealing and deputies, and the governors, ministers and representatives of the President in the districts, and party leaders and former politicians. However, only 10% of respondents said that there are no politicians who arouse their sympathy. This suggests that the emotional component in the form of personalized power our citizens is a fairly bright. At the same time, even the most disapprove of who the respondents are willing to trust, do not enjoy the sympathy of the respondents. Such a mismatch of images-not a good sign.
The most notable responses were received to the question of which of the politicians have a significant impact on the situation in Russia. Almost half of the influential people of the country called the incumbent. To open question is unusually large. Following B. Berezovsky is muddled. With the separation from him – Anatoly Chubais and Alexander Voloshin, Mikhail Kasyanov and Roman Abramovich. Among the public politicians called Luzhkov, Zyuganov and Yavlinsky. But as an individual interest groups respondents called oligarchs and the Administration of the President, “family”, “the President’s cronies.” If we compare the situation of Yeltsin’s rule (1996), the change is very significant. Public policies have been negatively by those who are “out of the shadows into the light flies”: that is, the economic power.
Surprising was the composition of the current government. In contrast to the ratings of political influence, compiled by experts service «Vox Populi», where the names of the respondents choose – our respondents did not use any “tips” and called those who came to their minds. Such names are not typed a hundred, and a total of 45 people! Despite the “promotion”, Gusinsky called ten times less than Berezovsky. Obviously, “BAB” strongly taken place “shadow power center” in the minds of citizens. In the same row with Russian politicians can meet Bill Clinton. Among the holders of power are registered oil tycoons (R. Vyahirev), the owners of factories (Bendukidze), influential media and only one banker – Gerashchenko. Overall, the picture that draws the “disposition” of power in the country – is not happy: not included here either judicial or legislative branches. This picture can not be compared with the constitutionally defined procedures: after decisions are made “behind the scenes”. It looks like for the people of the oligarchs and the President’s cronies are the main levers of power. The only figure, somehow holding this fragile and illegitimate structure – a legitimate president, with whom he hopes to correct the associated injustices and restore order.
Not accidentally citizens feel towards authorities the warmest feelings. They suspect that those who seek power, not so much want to benefit society (14.2% in 2000 compared to 24.9% in 1996), but to improve their own financial situation (65.9% and 76.6% respectively). Perhaps that is why they are less willing to recognize the authority of the state and the bosses, but still willing to accept the rule of law.
